Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need to know how to code?

No! The program is designed for both technical and non-technical founders. We'll teach you the development skills you need, starting from the basics.

If you already have coding experience, you'll move faster—but it's not required to join the program.

What if I don't have an idea yet?

That's okay! Many founders join with vague ideas or multiple options. The first month includes exercises to help you identify problems worth solving and validate ideas.

You can also pivot during the program if your initial idea doesn't work out. The discovery process is built into Month 1.

Can I join if I'm working full-time?

Yes! The program is designed for people with full-time jobs. Live sessions are scheduled on weekends, and the self-directed workload (10-15 hours/week) is manageable alongside a career.

Many successful founders build their startups this way while maintaining full-time employment.

What if I need to miss a session?

All live sessions are recorded, so you can catch up on your own time. However, live attendance is strongly encouraged for the Q&A, community interaction, and accountability.

Will I be able to launch and monetize after this program?

Yes! The program's primary focus is helping you build and launch a product that generates revenue.

Whether you bootstrap, monetize early, or pursue other funding options depends on your specific goals and business model. We'll help you make that decision based on your situation.

What tech stack will we use?

We teach modern, industry-standard tools that are beginner-friendly and scalable:

  • Frontend: HTML/CSS/JavaScript
  • Hosting: Azure Static Web Apps
  • Version Control: GitHub (CI/CD)
  • Backend: Azure Functions (serverless)
  • Database: Azure Cosmos DB or Azure SQL
  • Development: VS Code with GitHub Copilot
  • Automation: GitHub Actions workflows

These tools are what's actually being used to build GetWorkKin, so you're learning from real-world implementation.

What's the refund policy?

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you're not satisfied within the first month, we'll refund 100% of your investment, no questions asked.

How is this different from other coding bootcamps?

Unlike traditional bootcamps that focus only on coding skills, we teach both technical AND business skills. You'll learn:

  • Customer validation before you build
  • Product design and MVP scoping
  • Business formation and legal setup
  • Pricing strategy and go-to-market
  • Modern development with AI tools

Plus, the program is self-directed with 1-2 live sessions per month, making it compatible with full-time work. You're building YOUR product, not following pre-built tutorials.

What's the time commitment?

Total time commitment: 10-15 hours per week for 6 months

This includes:

  • 1-2 live sessions per month (90 minutes each)
  • Self-directed work between sessions (10-15 hours/week)
  • Community participation (optional but encouraged)

The workload is self-paced between sessions, so you can adjust based on your schedule.

Who is this program NOT for?

This program is not a good fit if you:

  • Are looking for a "get rich quick" scheme (building takes work)
  • Aren't willing to commit 10-15 hours per week
  • Already have a fully-built, launched product generating revenue
  • Want someone to build your product for you (this is hands-on)
Can I get help between live sessions?

Yes! You'll have access to a private community (Discord or Slack) where you can:

  • Ask questions and get peer support
  • Share progress and get feedback
  • Collaborate with fellow founders
  • Access production-ready scripts and templates

While the instructor is available during live sessions, the community provides ongoing support between sessions.

What happens after the 6 months?

After completing the program, you'll have:

  • A launched MVP (minimum viable product)
  • Lifetime access to all course materials
  • Connections with your cohort
  • Skills to continue iterating and growing

We'll also provide guidance on next steps: scaling, fundraising, hiring, or sustainable growth strategies based on your goals.
